System of a Down: Millions of fans were crushed in 2006, when world renowned metal/hard rock band System of a Down announced that they would be taking a break from recording and tour dates. However, after five long years of waiting, System of a Down has come roaring back to the music scene, announcing a concert schedule for their 2011 worldwide reunion tour. Fans looking to catch System of a Down on their upcoming concert schedule better act fast, as tickets will likely sellout soon.

System of a Down - also known as SOAD or System for short - was formed in 1994 and consisted of Serj Tankian as the band's vocalist, Daron Malakian on guitar, Shavo Odadjian on bass, and Ontronik "Andy" Khachaturian. Khachaturian suffered a hand injury in 1997 and was replaced by John Dolyman, the current and much beloved drummer. The band has a unique sound, often alternating between melodic stanzas and explosive metal riffs. Their self-titled debut album - following their deal with American/Columbia Records in 1998 - piqued the interest of metal heads around the country, with their single "Spiders" invading airwaves. System of a Down began playing tour dates with heavy hitting metal bands like Slayer and Metallica as well as making appearances on the Ozzfest concert schedule.

It wasn't until the release of their second album Toxicity in 2001 that things really started to get out of hand for SOAD. The band had planned to release the album at a free concert date in a parking lot in Hollywood, to thank their fans for all their support. The expected crowd of 3,500 quickly turned into nearly 10,000 and was shut down by the police, creating an angry mob that began stealing the band's gear, destroying property, and assaulting both police and each other. Toxicity quickly shot to the top of the charts and the album has since gone multi-platinum. System of a Down's third record is titled Steal This Album! and contains previously unreleased tracks from Toxicity; the album was prompted by fans pirating these leaked tracks off the internet, hence the album title.

System of a Down's next project was a double album, released separately six months apart. Mezmerize released first in May 2005 and was an instant success with both fans and critics. Hypnotize released in November or 2005 and debuted at number one on the charts, making System of a Down one of the only bands in history to debut two number one records in the same year.

System of a Down announced in May 2006 that they would be taking a break to work on independent projects. Now, five years later, SOAD has announced that they will be reuniting for a concert tour throughout various music festivals in Europe with gypsy punk band Gogol Bordello. There will also be warm-up concert dates in North America with tour dates beginning May 10, 2011. Within a few short weeks, concerts have sold out in Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and Paris with tickets for the rest of the concert schedule still available. The last US concert will be in Irvine on March 25, and the tour will conclude on June 21 in Moscow, so fans should get their tickets in a hurry.

Incubus: Incubus is an American rock band from Calabasas, California. The band was formed in 1991 by vocalist Brandon Boyd, lead guitarist Mike Einziger, and drummer Jose Pasillas while enrolled in Calabasas High School and later expanded to include bassist Alex "Dirk Lance" Katunich, and Gavin "DJ Lyfe" Koppell; both of whom were eventually replaced by bassist Ben Kenney and DJ Kilmore respectively.

Incubus has attained commercial success, reaching multi-platinum sales, as well as releasing several successful singles. After their first two albums, Fungus Amongus (1995) and S.C.I.E.N.C.E. (1997), the band earned mainstream recognition with the release of their 1999 album Make Yourself which spawned several hits, including the band's highest charting song "Drive." Success continued with the albums Morning View (2001) and A Crow Left of the Murder... (2004). Their sixth studio album, Light Grenades, debuted at No. 1 in 2006 and was followed by Incubus' first greatest hits album Monuments and Melodies in June 2009 and the band's 2011 album, If Not Now, When?. Incubus also released an EP, Trust Fall (Side A), in early 2015, and two years later, the band released their eighth studio album, titled 8, on April 21, 2017. Worldwide, Incubus has sold over 23 million albums. (from Wikipedia)

For Slash, the music industry is the family business. His mother was a costume designer for David Bowie and his father was an artist who designed cover art for the likes of Neil Young and Joni Mitchell. The native Londoner moved to Los Angeles for his mother's career and was dubbed "Slash" by family friend and actor, Seymour Cassel. Slash joined his first band, Road Crew, in 1981 with childhood friend and and future GNR bandmate Steven Adler. They disbanded a year later and Slash formed Hollywood Rose with Axl Rose the following year. After the dissolution of that group, Slash re-teamed with Axl and Adler to form what would become one of the biggest hard-rock acts in music history. Guns N' Roses went on to sell over 100 million records with their debut album selling nearly 30 million copies on its own! Slash toured with the band throughout the early 90's before departing in 1996.

Slash formed a side project, Slash's Snakepit, in 1994 which went on to release two albums before disbanding at the turn of the millennium. Slash also became a prolific studio musician contributing to Michael Jackson's Danger and the Yardbirds' Birdland albums to name a few. In 2002, Slash joined rock supergroup, Velvet Revolver, which featured former Stone Temple Pilot's frontman Scott Weiland. The group marked a revival of Slash's mainstream career and their debut album was a #1 hit on the Billboard 200. Velvet Revolver released their sophomore album in 2007 and announced that they would be disbanding following their tour. Following the dissolution of the band, Slash decided to go solo.

In 2008, Slash released his debut album Slash which debuted at #3 on the Billboard 200. In the style of guitar god Santana, the album featured the vocals of several high profile performers including Dave Grohl, Chris Cornell, Fergie, and Ozzy Osbourne. To promote the album, Slash tour dates were scheduled along a solo headlining tour throughout 2010 and 2011. The Slash World Tour has taken the guitarist across the world and when all is said and done, he will have played nearly 140 shows. Slash tour dates are scheduled through July, 2011. Don't miss a date on this guitar prodigy's first solo tour! Use Eventful as your source for Slash tour dates and concert schedule information.
